ECCO Select is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst with deep healthcare domain expertise to lead requirements discovery and delivery for complex technology initiatives within an Agile environment. The role involves bridging business needs with technical execution while collaborating closely with stakeholders and development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams
- Lead complex requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation efforts across healthcare initiatives
- Translate business needs into well-defined epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Agile/Scrum best practices
- Partner closely with the Product Owner to support product vision, backlog refinement, prioritization, and roadmap alignment
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master to ensure stories are ready, dependencies are identified, and Agile ceremonies are effective
- Provide leadership during Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Own end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and recommend solutions
- Support and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test scenario creation, execution support, and defect triage
- Document and optimize current-state and future-state workflows, business processes, and data flows
- Mentor junior or mid-level business analysts as needed
- Ensure solutions align with healthcare regulatory, compliance, and data privacy standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with significant experience in healthcare environments
- Proven experience working in Agile methodology using the Scrum framework
- Demonstrated experience collaborating directly with Product Owners and Scrum Masters
- Strong expertise in writing high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
- Experience supporting complex healthcare systems, workflows, and integrations
- Hands-on experience supporting UAT and partnering with QA and development teams
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
- Ability to operate independently and lead workstreams with minimal oversight
- Experience with healthcare standards and integrations (e.g., HL7, FHIR, X12, APIs)
- Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
- Agile or Business Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSM, PSPO)
