Zelh is a fast-growing, passionate outsourcing company focused on providing reliable logistics services. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to engage high-level decision-makers and qualify new opportunities through various outreach methods.
Responsibilities:
- Execute high-activity outreach to our proven ICP, focusing on accounts where our value proposition is already a winning formula
- Engage meaningfully with Director and VP-level logistics stakeholders. No 'copy-paste' spam—you’ll use your freight IQ to lead with insights
- Move past the gatekeepers by demonstrating a deep understanding of back-office brokerage operations and the day-to-day pain points of a Shipper
- Maintain a 'scrappy' mindset. You’ll be expected to drive high activity levels across multiple channels to keep the pipeline full
- Act as a subject matter expert on conference calls, ensuring prospects feel heard and understood from the first minute
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience at a freight brokerage
- Managed carriers and understand the 3PL lifecycle from quote to cash
- Deep understanding of detention, accessorials, OSD, and the nuances of shipper-broker contracts
- Articulate, persuasive, and comfortable leading a conversation with a room full of decision-makers
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid of high-activity targets
- Deep understanding of the North American freight market
- Proven ability to leverage LinkedIn for lead generation and brand building
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce/HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms
- Exceptional written and verbal skills
