BECU is a financial institution focused on serving its members and communities. They are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the strategy behind member communications, enhancing engagement across the member lifecycle through thoughtful and brand-forward messaging.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Member Communications Strategy: You’ll develop and lead a comprehensive marketing communications strategy that defines how and when BECU proactively engages members across the full lifecycle, shifting from transactional messaging to a more strategic, marketing-driven approach
- Lead Omnichannel Engagement Planning: You’ll determine the right mix of channels—including email, mobile app, digital experiences, statements, and other touchpoints—to deliver cohesive, engaging member experiences that drive adoption, trust, and retention
- Drive Go-to-Market and Lifecycle Initiatives: You’ll lead marketing communications and go-to-market strategies for new features and experiences, ensuring members understand the value and are motivated to engage
- Partner Across the Organization: You’ll collaborate closely with product, digital, operations, MarTech, UX, and creative teams to translate business needs into clear, effective communications while aligning to shared goals and timelines
- Guide Creative Development: You’ll write clear creative briefs, provide thoughtful feedback, and partner closely with copywriters and designers to ensure messaging is on-brand, member-centric, and effective
- Manage Campaign Execution: You’ll oversee campaign planning, calendaring, and execution, with the ability to independently manage campaigns using established tools and processes
- Measure and Optimize Performance: You’ll define, track, and refine KPIs to evaluate performance, engagement, and impact—using insights to continuously improve strategies and outcomes
- Oversee Budgets and Business Cases: You’ll support the management of marketing budgets, monitor spend, and build business cases to support initiatives such as centralizing member communications for a more cohesive experience
- Navigate a Regulated Environment: You’ll ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, particularly within a financial services context
- Contribute to Team Culture: You’ll bring a collaborative mindset, share learnings and best practices, and help foster a culture where curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement thrive
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications, or equivalent work or education-related experience
- Five years of experience in marketing communications, product marketing, or a comparable role
- Advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications preferred
- CRM and life-cycle marketing experience
- Excellent project management skills with a strong service focus and ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
- Excellent written and presentation skills, including presentation development and delivery
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing communications, brand and its relation to positioning, marketing strategies, and tactics
- Excellent business acumen and analytical thinking with the ability to provide insights, research and provide innovative business and competitive analytics, positioning, and strategies toward fulfilling marketing opportunities
- Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional collaboration, relationship building, influence, and negotiation
