Compunnel Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in P&C Personal Lines, specifically in Dwelling DP3 products. The role involves supporting business requirement analysis, product configuration initiatives, and stakeholder engagement for Duck Creek Policy implementations, requiring strong onsite presence and collaboration with business and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end requirement gathering for Dwelling DP3 product enhancements, new rollouts, and regulatory changes
- Work closely with business stakeholders, underwriting product owners, and compliance teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional requirements
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices aligned with Duck Creek standards
- Collaborate with Duck Creek Policy configuration, development, and QA teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of requirements
- Support product rollout activities, UAT planning, defect triage, and production validation
- Act as a domain SME for Dwelling products, providing guidance on coverage, rating, underwriting rules, and state-specific variations
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and support estimation and prioritization
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and DOI guidelines applicable to Dwelling products
Requirements:
- Experience in P&C Insurance
- Domain: Property & Casualty Personal Lines Specifically Dwelling Product DP3
- Platform: Duck Creek Policy
- 10 years of overall P&C Insurance experience with strong exposure to Personal Lines
- Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst on Duck Creek Policy implementations
- Strong domain knowledge of Dwelling Fire products DP3 including Coverages, deductibles, endorsements, Rating and underwriting rules, Eligibility and policy lifecycle
- Expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation (BRD, FRD, User Stories)
- Experience working directly with onsite client stakeholders in a customer facing role
- Solid understanding of Duck Creek product model, pages, forms and workflows from a functional perspective
- Experience working in Agile Scrum delivery models
- Strong understanding of UAT processes, defect management and production support
- Ability to perform impact analysis for product changes across states and coverages
- Knowledge of integrations and downstream systems (billing, claims, data reporting) from a BA standpoint
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with mid-senior leadership and client executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of functional tracks
- Comfortable working in fast paced multi-stakeholder environments
- Willingness to work onsite from Tampa, Florida
- Experience with other Personal Lines products (HO3, HO6, DP1)
- Exposure to Duck Creek Billing or Claims functional understanding
- Experience in state rollouts especially Florida or other catastrophe prone states
- Familiarity with Duck Creek Insights reporting
- Prior experience in modernization or platform upgrade programs on Duck Creek
- Exposure to regulatory filings and compliance documentation
