La Crosse Milling Company is a trusted leader in premium oat and grain ingredients, seeking an energetic, results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead growth initiatives and expand market presence. The role involves business development, account management, and collaboration on marketing strategies while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Proactively identify and land new accounts to build a robust sales pipeline
- Account Management: Manage and grow existing customer relationships, collaborating closely with our Cochrane-based Customer Service team to ensure seamless order fulfillment
- Pricing Strategy: Work closely with the Cochrane-based team on contract pricing management, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive in the B2B Oat Ingredients Market
- Marketing & Budgeting: Lead marketing budget, collaborating with the Cochrane-based team on website design and advertising campaigns and selection and management of industry trade shows
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to inform our sales approach
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven success in B2B sales, preferably in food ingredients, milling, or other agricultural processing
- Experience with commodity-based pricing models and the ability to navigate market volatility to protect company margins while providing customer stability
- Ability and willingness to travel 30–40% for client visits, trade shows, and occasional trips to our headquarters in Cochrane, WI
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex contract negotiations and marketing budgets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and self-management skills
- The discipline to manage a remote schedule and hit targets without daily handholding
- Bachelor's degree in business, Agribusiness, Marketing or a closely related field is preferred
