Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating sustainable climate solutions for buildings and transportation. They are seeking a Senior Controls Field Engineer to join their Centralized Services ACES Team, responsible for configuring, programming, and commissioning building automation systems while providing support to commercial clients. This role requires extensive travel and collaboration with project teams to ensure successful implementation of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the configuration, programming and check-out and commissioning of complex building automation systems that require a high level of attention to detail
- Responsible for reviewing and maintaining installation and programming standards
- Acquire and maintain expertise in Trane Controls products and offerings, as well as applicable third-party devices
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Trane controls
- Ability to provide support and remote connected support for field installations
- Responsible for advising, and guiding Field Technicians, Engineers, and sub-contractors
- Ensures customer satisfaction by collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve issues as they arise
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry performing as a Controls Technician or Controls Project Specialist roles preferred
- Proficiency in the operation and design of HVAC systems, building automation systems, and/or Temperature Controls required
- A valid driver's license, with no major or frequent traffic violations
- Ability to travel 75% plus
- Previous experience in programming, commissioning, and startup of Trane control systems preferred
- Familiarity with Automated Logic, Distech, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium/Niagara-based control systems is a plus
- A 2+ year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Automation Systems, or a related field is preferred
