Draper, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer based in Spiceland, Indiana, specializing in Audiovisual Equipment, Gymnasium Equipment, and Solar Control Shading Systems. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to support the growth of their exterior shading products, manage dealer training, and develop sales channels.
Responsibilities:
- Support the growth of exterior shading
- Manage in the field training and support for installing dealers
- Support installing dealers on pre-construction layouts and questions
- Work with product managers, corporate training manager, and market directors on trainings be held at facilities – organizing product, layouts, presentations
- Develop training programs with support from corporate training manager and product management for installing dealers and Draper staff
- Strong focus on recruiting new dealers with exterior shading potential
- Works with industry partners and vendors to develop sales channels and opportunities for product sales
- Position is remote
- Position does require travel as needed, approximately 1/3 of time
- Support product development conducted by product manager
- Supports marketing efforts on product training
- Covers the US and Canada
- Participation in industry trade shows
- Maintains expertise for products in the exterior shading marketplace
- Position reports to Market Director – Residential Solutions
Requirements:
- Strong exterior shading product knowledge
- Works well in a team
- Communicates effectively through written communication and is comfortable in front of groups– small and large for education
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in exterior shading sales or business development preferred
