RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking an Associate Director, HR Business Partner – Strategic Initiatives to support the Engineering function. This role involves leading high-impact enterprise and workforce initiatives, advising senior Engineering leaders, and driving complex, cross-functional efforts to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Leading HR support for large-scale Engineering initiatives from strategy through execution and sustainment
- Define scope, success metrics, timelines, and governance with Engineering leadership, HR COEs, and cross-functional partners
- Create and maintain project plans, dashboards, and reporting for transparency and milestone tracking
- Develop executive-ready communications and updates for Engineering and HR leadership
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve processes, operating models, and organizational effectiveness within Engineering
- Lead integration, change, and alignment efforts to ensure smooth execution across Engineering teams
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Engineering leaders on talent, organizational, and leadership matters
- Partner with HRBPs and COEs to align Engineering initiatives with broader enterprise talent strategies
- Apply strong HRBP perspective to ensure Engineering initiatives balance business needs, employee experience, and organizational health
- Influence leadership decisions through data, insights, and strong business acumen
Requirements:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
- Prior experience leading enterprise HR, workforce, or transformation initiatives
- Prior experience in project and change management
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis
- Prior experience translating complex data and insights into executive-ready materials
- Facilitation skills with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Prior experience as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders in a complex or global organization
- Proven track record leading transformation, or large-scale change initiatives
- Strong project management and program leadership capabilities
- Experience influencing and partnering with executive-level stakeholders
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities
- Strong business acumen and broad HR functional expertise (e.g., talent, org development, performance)
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
