MDAEdge is seeking a Federal Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth by identifying and capturing federal contracting opportunities. The role involves leading business development efforts, maintaining a pipeline, and fostering relationships with government stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business development and capture efforts across the full federal procurement lifecycle, from opportunity identification through contract award
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline aligned with company capabilities
- Develop and execute win strategies
- Foster strong relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners
- Support proposal development by contributing to solutioning, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to inform growth strategy
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting within CRM systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Government, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of business development, capture, or sales experience in federal contracting
- Demonstrated success winning federal contracts (prime and/or subcontract)
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition processes
- Experience with contract vehicles (GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, GSA Schedules)
- Established network within federal agencies and/or government contractors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience in IT, cybersecurity, Special Operations, linguistics, intelligence, engineering, logistics, or related fields
- Active Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret)
- Familiarity with tools such as GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, and USAspending
- Capture management and/or proposal development experience
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APMP)
